You Snooze, You Lose

So I ultimately did decide I wanted to do the Boston Marathon in April. I researched the flights, hotels, etc. Then I mapped out the route we would take if we drove to Pennsylvania to see Nate's grandparents and Indianna to see Nate's sister after our time in Boston. The last step was deciding if this would be a Nate and me trip or a family trip with the kids. I wanted to have everything decided before I cemented anything, and then...the race was full. So I guess it was cemented for me. No Boston in April. Bummer! Hopefully I learned my lesson for next time. Perhaps I'll try to qualify again next fall and do Boston in 2011? If we decided to have more kids, that would make for a 4 year gap, which might not be all bad. I don't know.
